Sizing
What sizes do you make?
Four, all rectangular: 24" × 36" (2×3), 36" × 60" (3×5), 48" × 72" (4×6) and 60" × 84" (5×7). We don't currently make round rugs, runners or anything larger than 5×7.
What size do I need?
Measure your furniture footprint and add 24 inches on each side you want covered. Our size guide breaks it down setup by setup, and is honest about when your space needs something bigger than we make.
Will a 5x7 fit under my dining set?
Only a bistro table with two chairs. A four-seat set needs 6×9, a six-seat set needs 8×10 — both larger than our range. Worth knowing before you order.
Materials & durability
Are your rugs waterproof?
The fibre doesn't absorb water — rain drains straight through and the rug dries in about an hour. They're not sealed sheets; water passes through rather than pooling on top, which is exactly what you want outdoors.
Will the colour fade in the sun?
Solution-dyed fibres have the pigment mixed in before the fibre is spun, rather than printed on the surface, which is why they hold colour through full-sun summers far better than printed rugs.
Do outdoor rugs get hot in the sun?
Darker rugs do. If your patio faces south and gets full afternoon sun, choose a lighter colour — the difference underfoot is significant.
Care & cleaning
How do I clean it?
Shake or sweep weekly, hose it down monthly with mild soap and a soft brush, and always dry it hanging or on edge rather than flat. Full instructions are in our cleaning guide.
Can I pressure wash it?
Carefully — wide fan tip, under 1500 PSI, at least 12 inches away, moving constantly. A garden hose and a brush does the same job with none of the risk.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
Only if the product page says so. Machine agitation can separate the backing.
Decks & surfaces
Will a rug damage my wood deck?
Not if it's breathable, sits on an open-grid pad, and gets lifted after heavy rain. The damage people worry about comes from trapped moisture, not from the rug itself. Details in our deck guide.
Do I need a rug pad?
On concrete, a pad stops sliding and adds cushion. On a wood or composite deck it's genuinely important — it's what lets air move underneath.
How do I stop it blowing away?
Furniture on top is the best fix. After that: a non-slip outdoor pad, outdoor rug tape, or landscape staples on grass. See the full breakdown.
